Sculpture

Many of my bronze pieces are based on a piece I called “Dreaming of Flight” that is a grouping of small flightless birds. They were commissioned by a friend and mentor. After looking at one of my clay sketches during a show she told me I should continue in a series like Degas’ heads. I did so through several more pieces until my move to the Seattle area where I no longer had access to the space, tools and bronze art casting facilities that I did before.

These are the works I produced while living and working in Loveland, Colorado from 2000 to 2002. I was part of their annual invitational sculpture show and sale during those three years including the summer of 2003 when I moved out to Seattle.

Sculpture remains dear to my heart and I will get back to casting some day when I have access to a garage.
